20. Marc Copage
Marc Copage’s performance in the sitcom Julia was the highlight of his career. Playing the son of the actress Diahann Carroll on the show, the Carroll-Copage tandem was breaking ground by representing people of color back in 1968. For Copage, the show did tackle several important issues such as racism, but there were more controversies hounding the show such as the lack of a father figure for him and how her on-screen mother could afford to live in an apartment with her nurse’s salary.
Though his time in the industry did give him the chance to show off his acting skills, he decided to move away from acting. He did take on occasional acting jobs, but preferred to have a steady paycheck to live by. Fortunately, he found that his positive attitude has helped him land a job as a leasing agent as well as an assistant manager of an apartment community. Perhaps he is following an investment planning scheme that will help him make his money grow.
